A’layna-Marie Kay “Stana” Ezell, aka “Snuki” aka “Teddy Bear” aka “Princess” aka “Hamburger”, 19, passed away after a sudden illness on March 22, 2020. She was born on December 22, 2000 in Des Moines to Floyd and Laura Ezell.
A’layna was the definition of a free spirit. She will be remembered for her fearless nature and her prankster ways. A’layna loved herself and those around her. She had a passion for caring for children, which was just another way her love shined through. A’layna had the biggest heart of anyone you would ever meet.
She is survived by her parents, Laura and Floyd Ezell; siblings, Charlie, Floyd, Jr., Diallo, Colezel, Maya, Kadja, Journey and Kenneith; granny, Anna (Eric) Tracey; grandpa, Claude “Gene” Williams; favorite aunt, Titi Tracey; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Alice Kay Hutchcroft; and great-grandmother, Alline Gordon.
Visitation will be held from 1:30 - 5:30 pm on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., Des Moines, IA.

Hey Alayna Marie,
Today your brother has the courage to speak. I would like to tell you that I love you and your absence has gave me the will to make changes in my life I didnt believe possible yet. Your spirit lingers in my heart with questions on what if and how come. What if I was a better brother how come it had to be you. The lord says dont question him as hard as that is I trust him. I feel you trusted me to get it right so you stepped ahead of me and took on my problems and pain because like me your heart was just that big. Love can make you go to hard for the ones you give it to. Baby Im here and Im focused your name Stana World is going be everywhere God allows it you going be the star Youve always imagined your dreams dont end or stop they continue through us your family I love you and stay keeping me focused when I feel my heart I feel you speaking saying slow down brother not too much. One day at a time and Ill be the best me until next time. A'layna was a beautiful person. She brought much joy and happiness to my Granddaughter. A'layna will be missed for sure. Our deepest sympathies and condolences. We were very blessed to know her.
