Kenneth Duane Peckham, age 95, moved to his Heavenly Home on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Taylor House Hospice after a brief battle with cancer and other health issues.

Ken was born in Greenfield, Iowa on November 27, 1924 to Alfred and Ceceil Peckham and was raised on a farm in the area. He was drafted into the U. S. Navy right after graduating from high school and proudly served during World War II in the South Pacific.

Ken was gentle, patient, and unassuming - a man of humble service. During his life he volunteered at his church and in the community by fixing houses, mowing lawns, running errands, helping the sick in his church family, and countless other kindnesses – all while holding down a full time job at Stoner Container Corp. His strong faith in God sustained him throughout his life.

He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Ann; brother, Donald; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Coreen; and some great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, stepdaughter, brother Jerry and sister Norma.

A private family service will be held on June 9, 2020 followed by burial at Iowa Veterans Cemetery.
