Margaret "Sis" Hawkins, 83, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice on Wednesday July 26, 2017. Eugene "Gene" Hawkins, 89, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice on Saturday March 21, 2020.
Gene and Margaret shared 63 wonderful years together.
They are survived by their children Babet (Cecil) Reynolds & Russ Hawkins; three grandchildren Lisa (Drew) Kerley, Kelly (Tim) Lynn & Megan (Alex) Herrold as well as six great-grandchildren, Lauren & Sam Kerley, Michael & Carmen Lynn & Oliver & Macklin Herrold.
A joint visitation for Gene and Margaret will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines, with a graveside service to follow at 11 a.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorials may be given to Taylor House Hospice.

Babet, I'm so sorry for your loss. What a lovely family! (Love the glamour shot of you and your mom!) They had a full life. Now they get to retire into God's arms. Wishing you peace at this time of change. God bless you and yours.
