Clara Colleen Huxford Brown Wood was born January 2, 1930 to John and Mary Huxford, and passed away July 24, 2020.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Wood; children, Nancy (Lonnie) Hodges of Altoona, Sue Boers of Des Moines, Greg (Victoria) Brown of Modesto, CA; grandchildren, Shawn Roorda, Dusty (Kristen) Sheets, Matt (Christy) Sheets of Pleasant Hill and Gregory (Tamika) Brown of Oakland, CA; great-grandchildren, Mady Sheets of Kansas City, MO, Gaby, Brady and Ethan Sheets of Pleasant Hill; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, seven siblings, and granddaughter, Stephanie Boers.

Clara was a loving, caring soul who never said a bad word about anyone. She lived a good life and now is on a new journey with the loved ones who left before her.

Thank you to Sunnyview Care Center and Suncrest Hospice for taking care of our loved one.

There will be a memorial luncheon Wednesday, August 26th at 12PM at the Elks Lodge, 5420 E University Avenue, Pleasant Hill. Social distancing and masks worn when possible please.
