Michael L. Webb was born December 5, 1949 to Clarence and Marguerite Webb in Des Moines, Iowa. Mike ended his three-year battle with esophageal cancer April 14, 2010.

Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ada McLaughlin and her husband James; brothers, James Carmichael and Russ (Bud) Carmichael; mother-in-law, Carolyn J. Mills; nephew, Timothy Syferd; and his very special aunt, Ruby Chongo.

Mike is survived by his wife of 35 years, Carol Ruth (Mills) of Ham Lake, MN; children, John (Amy) Webb of Crystal, MN and Amanda Webb of Ham Lake, MN; sister, Helen (Terry) Davis of Altoona, IA; brothers, Arch (Twila) Webb, Pleasant Hill, IA, Robert (Judy) Carmichael, Des Moines, IA, Douglas (Karen) Carmichael, Des Moines, IA; and sisters- in-law, Karen Randolph of Charleston, TN and Sherry Carmichael of West Des Moines, IA. Also survived by in-laws, John Mills (father-in-law) of Saylorville, IA, Linda (Don) Syferd of Fayette, MO, Ann (Dave) Kissinger of Ankeny, IA, Paul (Ann) Mills of Polk City, IA, Tim (Sherry) Mills of Polk City, IA, and Joel (Gay) Mills of Henderson, NV. Mike leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Mike worked the better part of the past 35 years in the automotive aftermaket industry. Most recently for WIX Filtration. He appreciated everything his WIX family did for him and his family during his fight. He will be missed by his co-workers and those he has called on in MN, ND, WI, and Iowa.

Mike's love of the New York Yankees, Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes, and the game of golf, will live on through his family and friends. Mike was proud to be an Eastsider and loved attending the Iowa State Fair the first Friday night each year. He also loved playing in the East High Alumni's annual golf tournament. Mike was so very proud of his nephew, Aaron Webb, who is serving our country in the U.S. Air Force in Japan. Mike, Robert, and James all served in the Air Force and Aaron's service was a source of great pride.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, 10235 University Ave NE, Blaine, MN. Mike will then be taken to Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, Iowa for a visitation that will be held on Tuesday, April 20, from 4 to 7 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, at 2 p.m. at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Gardens. Interment will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Saylorville, IA. Memorials may be made to the family.
