Stephen Recker Stephen Francis Recker, 78, was born July 12, 1933, in Bronx, New York, the son of Emery and Helen (Barry) Recker. He passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012, at Taylor Hospice House.

Steve is survived by his children, Andrya (Philip) Mammen of San Antonio, Texas, Mark (Denise) Recker of Huntley, Illinois, Alayna (Ray) Wiltgen of Altoona, Iowa, and Scott Recker of Annapolis, Maryland; grandchildren, Marie Novak, Thomas Novak, Erin Novak, Daniel Novak, Ryan Novak, Ross Wiltgen, Nicholas Wiltgen, Blake Wiltgen, Zachary Recker and Holly Recker; siblings, Emery Recker, Raphael Recker and Helen Nolan; many nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Bea Recker; his parents; his sister, Margaret Reilly and his brother, Donald Recker.

The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, with a vigil beginning at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 25, 2012, at Ss. John and Paul Catholic Church, 1401 1st Avenue S in Altoona. Burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery where military honors will be provided.

Memorial contributions may be made to Iowa Health Hospice Taylor House or The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 1311 Mamaronek Avenue Suite 310 White Plains, New York 10605 in loving memory of Steve.
