Lorene Davis Lorene Davis, 74, passed away on May 2, 2012. Services will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 10 a.m., at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines. Burial will follow at Newton Union Cemetery in Newton, IA.

Lorene was born in Newton, IA on December 1, 1937. She graduated from Newton High School and set out to see the world. She lived in various states including Michigan, California, Montana, Georgia and finally returning to Iowa. Lorene had various careers in office administration, including helping to promote the movie “Jesus” for a film company. She has worked for Iowa Health Physicians Clinic as a Medical Records Specialist for the past 2 years. Lorene was a strong Christian and was fearless, sassy, and somewhat famous as she appeared in Life Magazine.

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Michele Davis; her granddaughters, Kristin (Jeremy) Trudeau, Dakota Davis; great-grandson, Jalen; and her brother, Leroy Davis. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Rosetta Davis; and her siblings, Margaret, Darlene and Cecil.
