Susie was born on February 1, 1952, to Mary Roman and Julius Ribas in Brooklyn, NY. Shortly after, she moved to Los Angeles, CA where she spent most of her life. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School in Los Angeles, CA, Class of 1969.

Susie was the oldest of three, leaving behind a brother and sister, Bruce and Karen. She gave birth to three sons, David (Kristina), Jose (Megan), and Richard (Lorena) - they were her pride and joy and she let everyone know. Susie also leaves behind two grandchildren, Samuel and Ismael whom she could not stop spoiling.

She enjoyed cooking, traveling with her Aunt Hilda, and spending time laughing and talking with many friends. Throughout her life Susie had many pets whom she loved so dearly especially her cats, Deuce and Kitty. In 2009, Susie moved to Perry, IA to join her son Richard and his wife Lorena. Throughout her time in Perry, she worked at Mercy Hospital as a receptionist, retired, and then became an avid volunteer for numerous public service agencies.

Susie will always be remembered for her selfless character. She took pride in helping others, developing motherly relationships with so many, and ensuring that others were taken care of. She will be extremely missed by so many.
