Edward D. Curry, 54, passed away at his home Wednesday, January 29, 2014. He was born February 18, 1959 the son of Edward and Nadine Curry.

Ed was an avid outdoorsman who loved to camp, fish and hunt. He was known as the “Ultimate Hunter who never quite produced anything”. Ed was a handyman. He had a great personality and sense of humor. He always thought he was in charge so his family lovingly called him “Big Chief”. Ed took great care of his wife, especially when she was sick. He lived to love her and was never the same after her passing in December of 2009. Above all else, he cherished the time spent with his grandsons.

Ed is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Chris) Belcher; grandsons, Christopher and Lucas Belcher; parents, Edward and Nadine Curry; siblings, Kelly Van De Boe, Scott (Valarie) Curry, Kristin (Drew) Loftsgard, Todd (Krys) Curry and Kerri (Ryan) Gabriel; sister-in-law, Deanna (Vic) Robinson; and numerous nieces, nephews and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darla.

The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
