CloseLittle Hands
This three-session grief program is for children ages 4 to 7 years old (Pre-school – Kindergarten) and gives children the chance to interact with others their own age who have experienced the death of someone close to them. Through play, stories, games, songs, talking about feelings, art and conversations with our bunny puppet, named “Hamilton,” children find a comfortable place to express their thoughts and feelings.
This program is free and open to any child in the community. All sessions are held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, from 4:00-5:30, and pre-registration is required to ensure we have enough supplies and staff for the children attending.
Upcoming program scheduled for September has been postponed. Will contact registratants when new dates have been set.
