I miss you every single day! Not a day goes by that I don't think of you! You were my best friend! I will always carry my memories of you with me forever!
You were such a special person in my life that I will cherish until the end of time!
I really wish I had the chance to say goodbye! This year will be 10 years and it's still incredibly hard to except that you are not here! If only I would have known that the last time I saw you was going to be the last time, I would have hugged you for a long time!
I love you, Jan! Thank you for always being there for me when no one else was! Thank you for being my best friend! I miss you dearly! 🫶💜🥰💔😭

I was one of mrs. Morris students. We did butt heads now and then but I loved her as a teacher. She always lit up when we made her laugh and when she talked about her grandparents. I was so excited to see her again this school year. But we will all see her again one day. My thoughts and prayers to the family.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family. I was Jan's teacher assistant. when she worked at Woodward State Hospital. I always enjoyed working with her. She was one of the best teachers I every worked with. She was a caring and loving person and always did well with the students. I am sure she will be missed by many.
God bless her and her family.

Jan has always been supportive of me, my work, and the library since I came to Merrill four years ago. I enjoyed when her classes came to the library because I loved to listen to the way she talked with kids. She knew how to get them to understand they were responsible for their own learning and behaviors. She always let them know they had choices and that they could redirect or make corrections without losing face, she respected kids and her profession. One of my last interactions with Jan was at the end of the school year when she was moving into a new classroom for the 2014-15 school year. She was happy this new classroom was closer to the library so it would be easier and quicker to send students to the library. I am going to miss Jan greatly and I know countless students are going to miss out on her wonderful teaching. My condolences to Jan's family.

I am deeply sorry to hear of Jan's passing. She was my friend and colleague at Brody Middle School for many years. Her compassion for people and her desire to help others in any way she could was unequaled. She was such an inspiration to me.

I was so sorry to hear of Jan's passing. I worked with her for many years at Brody. She was so dedicated and a wonderful advocate for her kids. No one worked harder to help them to be successful.

Jan was my oldest daughter's teacher and although they butted heads Jan found a way to reach her. My youngest, now a 7th grader at Merrill, remembers her presence in the hall. I too as a substitute frequently at Merrill, always found Jan welcoming and helpful. Most recently we sat together at a Merrill band concert and admired Mr. Morgan's success with each grade's band....she was truly delighted with the music. I found Jan to always return a smile and say hello, never afraid to give an opinion, and offered a truly open heart to students and peers alike. I will miss her face in the Merrill halls. My deepest condolences to her daughter and family. May God's grace enfold you.

Jan taught Sunday School at Grace UMC for many years. In recent years, she had become an active member of one of our adult Sunday School classes. She was kind, generous, and faithful. Our deepest sympathies to her family.

Dana, Calvin and Beau:
You probably don't remember me from Northwest Congregation, but you Mom was always so special to me. Her smile was contagious and she was indeed a very special person. I know it has been years since I've seen you, ran into you Mother several years ago at Walmart and she was just as gracious and sweet as ever. Wishing you all peace at this difficult time.
