Service Details
Robert Larson, 60, passed away on July 29, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, with private burial at Sunset Cemetery. A Celebration of Life gathering will begin at 4 p.m. at Raccoon River Park Nature Lodge.
Bob was born on December 9, 1953 in Morris, IL. He was the owner of Larson Technical services for 40 years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, snow skiing and spending time with his family. Work hard, play hard was his motto.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Larson; children, Carrie Phelps, Charitie (Brian) Schaer, and Johnna (Justin) Bonta; grandchildren, Delainey, Bobby, Chloe, Jack, Cael, and Blake; his sister, Sharon (Tom) Jiskra; and other loving relatives and special friends.

grandma grampa told us grandkids to tell u he has always loved you and that he would always be there for all of us when we needed him most so to go to the lake and wach the sun set and every thing will be ok and im happy to have called him grandpa (papa)

So sorry to hear of Bob's passing. He was a great repairman and kept my organ running. He will be missed by many of us organ enthusiasts. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I know I am one of MANY who have said this and meant this but there will never be another Bob Larson..He was the true epitome of what a great Husband, Father and Grandfather should be.. I feel so blessed to have gotten to know him and feel so blessed that my Son could call him his Father-in-law and my Grandchildren could call him Grandpa...Love Pam
