Bud Madison

Bud Madison, 59, was born April 10, 1955, to Clark and Mary Madison. He passed away at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, on Thursday, September 25, 2014.
Bud proudly served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a manager for the Iowa Interstate Railroad.
Bud was a member of Fountain of Life Full Gospel Church and loved sharing the word of God any chance he had. He had a passion for music and played the bass guitar for Eastern Skies band for many years. He also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Bud surrounded himself with those he loved and never met a stranger. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Bud is survived by his wife, Peggy, of 39 years, fulfilling his commitment ‘Till death do us part;’ his son, Kenny (Mindy) Madison; his boys, Jason, Justin, and JaVon; grandchildren, Ja’Dien, Cayden, Kaleb, and Jaxon; father, Clark (Katie) Madison; grandmother, Maxine Rittenhouse; in-laws, Ken and Ruth Cox; brothers, John (Leslee) Madison, Dan Shortell, and Marvin (Debbie) Madison; sisters, Linda Ruppert and Carmen (John) Cratty; brothers-in-law, Tommy Cox and Larry Cox; sister-in-law, Joanne Cox; multiple nieces and nephews, as well as a host of extended family and beloved friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Mary and Jack Bougher; stepmother, Leota Madison; daughter, Shannon Haney; brother, Jeff Shortell; and his grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, at Lutheran Church of the Cross, 1701 8th Street SW in Altoona.

I am greatly sad for the loss of this wonderful man that touched my life and was passionate about the people that he loved the world is just a little bit smaller without him here. but now we know he's not only with us he's watching over us and that he will be happy welcoming us into his new home just like he welcomed us into his home when he was here God bless. It is not easy during this time, my heart goes out to all of you. Bud would want you to rejoice and be happy for the life that he shared with each and everyone of you.
