Gary Swackhammer

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gary Ancel Swackhammer announces his passing on October 1, 2014 after a brief illness.
Gary was born on July 11, 1951 in Moberly, Missouri to Ancel and Juanita Swackhammer. Gary worked for WalMart in the shipping and receiving department for the past 11 years.
He is up in heaven enjoying his family that has passed before him, including his father, Ancel Swackhammer.
His family left to carry on his sweet memories and warrior spirit are his wife, Denise; children, Brandon Swackhammer and Jennifer (Tony) Anderson; grandchildren, Sophia, Andrew and Isabella; mother, Juanita; siblings, Cindy (Gary) Cheney, Steve (Michele) Swackhammer and Gina Swackhammer; many nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, October 10, 2014 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
**Please note the construction on SW 9th Street, there is still access to the funeral home from Kenyon off of SW 14th St. and SW 9th Street coming from the north. There is additional parking available in the north grassy lots off of Kenyon. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Max and I were sorry to hear about Gary. Words cannot express the pain you and the family are feeling, may God hold you all in the palm of His hand. We will not be able to attend the memorable service, but will be there in spirit. God Bless.

So sorry to hear about Gary. I worked with him, and he always said hello and gave me a bad time. I will remember him with a smile. He was a great guy.
