Deepest sympathy to Doug and members of the family. Vi was a 'good neighbor' to the residents of Oakwoods Townhome Association. She will be missed.

Aunt Violet will be missed. even though I live in Washington state and she lived in Iowa, she was a big part of my life. When I was young, my dad(Jack Holbrook) and mom (Nora) went to Iowa every year. I have lots of family memories in the house she shared with Dr. Elliott. I mostly remember her sense of humor and philosophy. Thank you for the memories.

We will miss Vi.
We lived next door to her (and Zipper Zed) on Welker for many years. I can picture her, up before dawn with her mud boots on puttering in her gardens. We always had a friendly competition on holidays to see who would get their flag out first. Pretty sure she got up extra early on those days
just to beat us.

Doug and Jan - my heartfelt prayers and sympathy go out to you both. Doug, I know the heartache of losing a mother, and while there is relief, there is also sadness. May God bring you and your family comfort in the days to come.
