Larrey C. Plumb

Larrey Charles Plumb, 74, passed away Monday, October 13, 2014 at his home in Des Moines. Larrey was born April 21, 1940 in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Charles and LaVonna Carroll Plumb. He graduated from East High School in 1959 and retired from Armstrong Tire & Rubber in 1988.
He is survived by his daughters, June Marie (Lee) Evans, Kelly Ann (Mark) Jones, and Malinda Ray Plumb; nine granddaughters, Amy (Tony) Lincoln, Amanda (Fonda) McGhghy, Amber Evans (Carlos Welch), Amanda Koopman, Stephanie Jones, Maranda Plumb (Chad Reeves), Kasey (Ethan) Kouri, Codye Lazear, and Emily “Pumpkin Face” Plumb; 15 great-grandchildren, Kalob, Sean, Serenity, Elizabeth, Avery, Collin, Kenzie, Siri, Katelyn, Willa, Samuel, Alexis, Bradley, Christopher, and Kayge; and sister, Sheryle Ray Plumb. Larrey was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Terry and sister-in-law, Diane Plumb; and his best friend, Timberly.
Visitation was held from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service was 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 17, also at the funeral home.
On Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Larrey C. Plumb will take his final ride on the back of his daughter and son-in-law’s motorcycle to Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery where his cremated remains will be interred at 3:00 p.m. This date would have marked his 75th birthday. Family will be present starting at 2:30 p.m. and welcome all friends and family to join them in celebrating Larrey’s life.

Oh My Dear God this is so hard. Love You Larrey Miss You. All my thoughts and prayers go out to Malinda June and Kelly. The entire Family.
