Sharon Rose Beattie

Sharon Rose Beattie passed away on Friday, October 24, 2014, at The Village Care Center in Indianola surrounded by her loving family. Sharon was born on January 21, 1940, to Elmer and Edith (Jones) Wilson.

Sharon’s primary joy was spending time with her family. She enjoyed her outings with her friends. She had a strong faith and was a long time member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God. She loved her dog Toby.

Those left to cherish her memory are her six children, Bruce Ackelson, Shelly Ackelson, Tracy (Tammie ) Ackelson, Tammy Harris, Danny (Sarah) Beattie and Brandon (Stevie) Beattie; 13 grandchildren, Ashli, Joshua, Jessica, Cassie, Andrea, Stephanie, Alexzander, Dane, Ian, Braxton, Myles, Rylie and Ashton; 12 great-grandchildren; and other loving family and special friends. She will be deeply missed.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home 5400 SW 9th Street. She will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Glad Tidings Assembly of God in memory of Sharon.

**Due to the road construction on SW 9th Street, the entrance to the funeral home is off of Fleur or SW 14th Street to Kenyon heading east.
