Anthony Morris

Anthony T. Morris, 51, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.

Anthony was born September 10, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa to Keith Wesley Morris Sr. and Helen Geneva Johnson and was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Anthony is survived by his mother, Helen Johnson; wife, Gayle Marie Simon; girlfriend, Helen Marie Hall; children, Tenece Simon, Demarkus Simon, Rita Simon, Fadel Stanley, and Anthony Belger, all of Des Moines, Brezzie Martinez of Killeen, Texas, and Lasherika Neighbors and Tyrone Morris of Des Moines. He is also survived by his siblings, Darryl Morris of Marshalltown, Dorsey Morris of Des Moines, Brian Morris of Cape Corral, FL, Mark Morris of Des Moines, Patricia Morris of Davenport, and Jason Morris of Des Moines, as well as a host of other extended family members, numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Wesley Morris Sr.; siblings, Keith Wesley Morris Jr., Dennis Morris, Glenis Morris and Demetria Morris; and his maternal grandmother, Erna Mae Johnson.

There will be a visitation held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
