Mina Bard

Mina Bard, 91, passed away on January 20, 2015 in Des Moines. She was born on September 2, 1923 in Texarkana, Arkansas to Lea R. and Mildred (Hinton) Williamson.

Mina lived in Sioux City for 65 years. She was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Sioux City, Floyd Golf Club, Daughters of the American Revolution, Dames of Magna Charta, Colonial Dames XVII Century and the Mayflower Society. Mina was greatly loved and will be missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue (Curtis) Winchester and Lea Ann (Ron) Rochon; 4 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Helen Reeves of Texarkana.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Joel M. Bard, Jr.; son, Joel M. Bard III; and her parents.

Per her wishes, there will be no formal services and her cremated remains will be returned to Texarkana.
