Mary Margaret Antol, 93, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 at Bishop Drumm Care Center.
Mary was born April 25, 1921 in Des Moines to Frank Sr. and Josephine (Rossi) Palmer. She was a charter member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a member of the Catholic Women’s League and the Altar and Rosary Society. Mary loved to cook, garden and plant flowers. She will be remembered as a “lady” who truly loved her family.
Mary is survived by her children, Sister Kathleen Antol, BVM, Mary Jo (Roy) Hockett and Paul (Sue) Antol; grandchildren, Andy Luymes, Matt Luymes, Laura Guse, Sarah Davis and Betsy Antol; and her brother Joseph J. (Jo Ann) Palmer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Antol; and brother, Frank “Babe” Palmer.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with the Funeral Mass to follow at 12 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2015 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 5711 SW 9th Street. Mary will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston.
