Jerry Lee Lancaster

Jerry Lee Lancaster, 74, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2015. He was born March 22, 1941 in Des Moines, Iowa to Willard and Francis Lancaster. Jerry served in the Army during the Vietnam War, completing one tour of duty. He was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed listening to country music. He liked spending time at the community center, having dinners with friends.

He is survived by his brothers, Ray (Ester) Lancaster and James (Sharon) Lancaster, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jess Willard Lancaster.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., with funeral service to begin at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 3, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Interment will occur at Sunset Memorial Gardens following the funeral.
