Goldie M. Flinn

Goldie Marie Anderson Flinn, 89, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Namasté Alzheimer Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born May 2, 1925 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Mable (Purdy) Hodson. She spent most of her life in the Des Moines and Indianola areas before moving to Colorado to be closer to family.

Goldie is survived by her sons, Geoff Anderson and Gregory Anderson, both of Des Moines; step-sons, Douglas Meyers of Des Moines, John Flinn and Jim Flinn, both of Indianola, and Larry Flinn of Albuquerque, NM; sister, Kathern Anderson; brothers, Arlyn Hodson and Larry Hodson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Gerald Anderson and Lawrence W. Flinn, and her daughter, Gina Warrell.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will be 9:00 a.m. Saturday, May 2, also at the funeral home, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
