Ronald Armstrong, 52, passed away Friday, May 15, 2015. He was born January 6, 1963 in Des Moines, Iowa. Ronald graduated from North High School in 1981. He was a loving son, a great father, wonderful grandfather, and a good friend. He loved the Minnesota Vikings and the Oakland A’s.
He is survived by his loving daughter, Katie Armstrong; grandsons, Spencer and Colton; step-son, Tony (Jessica) Ekman; mother, Phyllis Maine; siblings, Deanna Davey, Tracy (Max) Steigleder, Todd (Kayl) Armstrong, and Cory (Tracy) Maine;; nieces and nephews, Brandon, Brent, Jordan, Jason, Nicholas, Tyler, Mariah, Dillon, Amanda, Cory, and Cooper; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Armstrong; and step-father, Chuck Maine.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines, IA. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 30th at North River Party Barn, 2768 Highway 65 & 69 just south of Des Moines.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Ronald.

Ba, I am going to miss all of your jokes, our movie nights, our conversations, your crazy stories, all of the nicknames you gave everybody that you met, the way you made me laugh so much, and most importantly, how much you loved everybody. I am so blessed that I got to have such a special bond with you. Thank you for all of the times that we got to spend together. I love you forever and already miss you so much.
