Mark Anthony Hill

Mark Hill, 55, of Des Moines passed away on July 20, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He was born on April 8, 1960 in Des Moines to Orville and Thelma (Marvin) Hill.

Mark dedicated his life to working for two of his families’ companies, G & H Asphalt and Hill Brothers Asphalt. He loved racing and cheering on his favorite driver Jimmy Johnson. Mark was a “Mr. Fix It” who was always tinkering with cars. Most of all, Mark loved his wife, Elaine and dogs, Harley and Precious.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elaine; son, Jeremy (Brandy) Bos; grandchildren, J. J., Faith, Hope and Charity; siblings, Ronnie (Betty), Linda (Richard), Peggy (Ronnie), Bob (Norma), Dennis (Elaine), Brenda (Stephen), Greg (Myrna), Patty (Allen), Becky (Joe) and Gene; and his loving dogs, Harley and Precious; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Janice, Carolyn, Leland, Mike, Randy and Connie.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 24, 2015 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow services at Pine Hill Cemetery.
