Service Details
Fayrene June (Davis) Ellenwood, 95, was born May 19, 1920 in Murray, Iowa to Robert A. and Celesta (Engleman) Davis. She passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015. Fayrene was a strong, active person, enjoying gardening and yardwork until days before her passing.
She is survived by her daughter, Sondra Ridley, daughter-in-law, Carol Ellenwood, brother, George (Mary) Davis, sister, Hazel Young, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and ten great-great-grandchildren. Fayrene was preceded in death by her husband, Willis Ellenwood, daughter, Laura Faux, son, Lyle Ellenwood, and son-in-law, Everett Faux.
Services will be held at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. The Visitation is set for Saturday, November 21st from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. No service is scheduled for Sunday. The Funeral service will be held Monday, November 23rd, at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
