Vincent Quang, 24, was taken from us far too soon Saturday, June 18, 2016.
There will be a visitation held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 25 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Please join the family for a reception to be held at Capital City Moose Lodge, 2515 Wedgewood Road (behind East Euclid Walgreens) immediately following the visitation. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Sunday, June 26 at Hamilton’s on Lyon Street. Private burial will take place at a later date.
Vincent was born December 20, 1991 in Des Moines, Iowa. His motto was “Family Over Everything.” He loved his mother, brothers, and family unconditionally. He will forever be remembered for the love he had in his heart for his family and friends. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and his hobbies included riding his bike, working on cars, fishing, and scrapping with his brothers. He enjoyed being outside and had a passion for his job at Leader Construction, working with concrete.
Vincent will be greatly missed by his mother, Kimberly and step-father, Robert Gwinn; father, Boun Quang; brothers, John, Jeremy and Austin; step-sisters, Lacie and Kaylynne; girlfriend, Kris Shiner; grandparents, Shirley and Gary Ruge and Emya LaCaThi; niece, Haven; nephews, Josiah and Joseph Vincent; uncle, Joe Johnson; aunt, Julie VanZandt; great-uncle, Mickey Dixon; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joe “Jiggy” Johnson and It Cavan and uncles, Ricky, Dennis and Donny.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Vincent.

Kim, Austin, John, and family im so sorry for you loss even though i only met Vinny five six times he was always kind and generous to everyone he will be missed.

Vincent was always a goofy kid, to me. I will always remember him for his willingness to lend a hand when he could, for the love that he had for his brothers, especially his mother, and his contagious smile. My heart hurts for those that Vince impacted so deeply.
