Michael Boyd, Sr., age 65, of Des Moines, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, September 30, 2016. Michael was born January 24, 1951 to Wanda and Darnell Boyd in Waco, Texas.
He enjoyed painting and house remodeling, playing video and computer games, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his son Michael (Miranda) Boyd, his grandchildren, Alana, and Brody, his companion, Joyce, his mother, Wanda, and his dog, Max.
Private family services will be held.
Memorial Contributions may be made to his family in his loving memory.

So sad to hear about Mike. I am glad I got to meet him and call him a friend. He was kind, smart, and had a great sense of humor.
