Ines "Chach" Michael Burriola

Ines Burriola Jr., 63, went to be with the Lord and Savior on October 7, 2016. He was born April 14, 1953, in Des Moines, Iowa, son of Ines and Grace Burriola.

Chach was a man of great faith and was most recently attending Des Moines First Assembly of God Church. He was a devoted husband and father who cherished his family and their time spent together.

He worked as an optical lab tech for more than 25 years in the Des Moines area. Chach had a creative soul and a great love for music. He enjoyed playing the trumpet and guitar, listening to The Beatles, and oldies sock-hop Saturday nights. Chach also appreciated the outdoors and was often found grilling, fishing, or golfing. His favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. Chach was also a dedicated fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Bears.

Chach is survived by his loving wife of nearly 23 years, Laure; children, Armando (Tina), Urbano (Tonya), Leland, Josiah, Anna, Emma, Denise (Pete) Wilson, Diane (Gary) Bucher, Terie Sanders, Charlie Sanders; his father, Ines; grandchildren, Anthony (fiancée, Lauren), Adrian, Isabella, Celia, Dominic, Tatum, Kyleigh, Eiler, Andreana, Preston, Michael, Nash, and Ernie; siblings, Rita Dixon, Patricia (Gary) Kindhart, Monica (Brian) Johnston, Joe (Teresa) Burriola, Conchie (Don) Pratt, Roberta (Mark) Gamble, Maria (Jesse) Gomez, Regina (Jimmy) Dupree, Petra (John) Rios, Melinda (Brian) Burriola, and Christina Burriola; brothers-in-law, Greg Kalianoff and Randy (Beth) Kalianoff; sister-in-law, Sharon (Tom) Beem; 26 nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephews; God daughter, Ava; as well as many Aunts and Uncles, cousins, second cousins, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace and his grandparents.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2016, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Services will be held 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at Des Moines First Assembly of God, 2725 Merle Hay Rd., with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to his family at this time.
