She is survived by too many: mother Michelle Dawn Atwell, father Matthew Steven Cohara, sister Bailey Cohara, sister Taylor Atwell, sister Kassidy Atwell and brother Carter Cohara. She is also survived by her grammy Marlys Farrell, grandpa Steven Farrell, grandpa Mark Taylor, grandma Kimberly Taylor, grandma Susan Cohara, grandpa Frank Cohara, her many aunts, uncles, cousins, great grandparents and dear friends: Gayle, Jessica, Siana, Gwen, Ben, Mara, Myer, Maclin, Christopher, Julie, Brandon and Ryan.

Harper was so young but will be with us forever. She was so small, born at only 5 pounds, yet she left the biggest impression on all of our hearts and lives. Gone from us for now, but we will all see each other again someday. She was the most perfect, beautiful baby girl and our family couldn’t have been more blessed to have had her in our lives for this short time. She was our “Harper Girl”, our “Boo Boo Kins”, our “Harper Doo”, our “Hamburger Buns”, our “Space Baby”, our “Sugar Butt”, our “Scooby Doo”, our “Harpy”. Although her life was too short, she was so active – swimming, playing toys, camping, rocking with Grammy, cartoons and coffee with Grandpa, holding hands and smiling with Mommy, laughing and taking pictures with Daddy, rocket ship with Bailey, singing songs and eating pickles with Taylor, playing and talking during car rides with Kassidy, and cuddling her only brother Carter.

She loved her oatmeal, eating out at Olive Garden, French fries, ice cream and choccy milk. She spent her days kissing her cow baby, cuddling her care bear and playing with all her big girl toys. She loved watching Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and reading books. She was so smart and would turn the pages of books as Mommy and Grammy read to her. She loved reading the “Bee Bo” book with Grammy and going to sleep at night with Mommy to “Goodnight Moon”. Mommy often told her about the cow jumping over the moon and then would tell her, “Silly girl, cows can’t jump over the moon.” Grammy taught her to use sign language and she would tell us “milk” and was reluctantly learning “please”. Life was so exciting for her and one of our favorite memories is how she would hold her hands out, open her mouth wide, and shake with such anticipation for the things she loved or new things she saw. She loved going on walks in her stroller and looking at the trees or getting the mail. She loved floating and playing in the lazy river at the pool with her family or going to the farmer’s market for special treats. She loved visiting Mommy and Daddy at work. She loved to get soapy, soapy, soapy in the shower and pick out her outfits with Mommy to go to Grammy’s.

We will miss her every day and long for the things we missed out on in her short, precious life - her first tooth, her first words, her first steps, her first day of school, shopping with Mommy and Grammy, sisters’ day out, learning to drive Daddy’s Mustang, riding the motorcycle, rooting for the Cowboys, Packers, Jayhawks and Hawkeyes, watching her siblings grow up, finally getting to hold the remote and everything in between. She gave more joy than could ever be described and her cuddles, giggles, and beautiful blue eyes will stay with all of us forever. Harper had so many friends, leaving an undeniable mark on everyone she met. Her smile was like a rainbow after the storm, her laugh so precious to us all.

Goodnight Moon. Goodnight cow jump over the moon. Goodnight grandma and grandpa. Goodnight sisters and brother. Goodnight daddy. Goodnight mommy. Goodnight Harper. Until we see you again.
