D’Elaina Carolyn Powell
Of Carlisle, Iowa
D’Elaina “Dee” Powell, age 42, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1975 in Des Moines, Iowa. Dee enjoyed going to flea markets and loved purses. Above everything, she cherished time spent with her daughters.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her fiance, Tracy Robins; two daughters, Gabrielle “Gabby” and Leona; mother, Caryl Powell; brother, Christopher “Chris” Powell; and many extended family members and friends.
Dee was preceded in death by her father, Richard Powell, II.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Southtown Pentecostal Assembly, 510 E. Rose Ave., Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Dee.

We have known D'Elaina all her life, and was shocked at the news of her passing. Her daughter's were her life, and she will be missed by them both. Taken too soon, rest in peace.

D'elaina was truly one in a million, Im proud to say she was the sister I chose for myself , and my best friend. If theres anything I can do, Im only a phone call away.

I was shocked to hear this sad news. Delaina was always a caring giving person. Just want to share a memory with her family. When I ask my son if he remembered Delaina a big smile crossed his face and he said he remembered playing in the rain with her when he was little at A&W. That was the kind of person Delaina was. Her memory brings smiles. Hoping for strength and healing for her family.
