Norma L. Rynearson, 88, died Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. She was born December 24, 1929 to Alfred and Maude (Boline) Burgess in Des Moines.

Norma graduated from Woodside High School and married the love of her life, Jack Rynearson in 1950. She retired from the credit department at Sears in 1992. Norma was a long time member of Grand View Lutheran Church and loved shopping, collecting Precious Moments figurines, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

Norma is survived by her children, Debra (Tom) Woitaszewski and Todd (Sherry) Rynearson; grandchildren, Jaime (Paul) Johnson and Travis Woitaszewski; great-grandchildren, Carson, Ashton, and Isabella; brother, Herb (Joann) Burgess; and a host of loving family and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and siblings, Margaret Nordholm and Harry Burgess.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Grand View Lutheran Church, 2930 E. 13th Street, Des Moines, with burial to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue.
