Jean Ulery

Jean Ulery, 79, passed away on July 16, 2018. She was born February 26, 1939 in Rocky Ford, Colorado to Wayne and Mary (Lorenz) Call.

Jean will be remembered for her fiercely independent spirit. She was a perfectionist in all endeavors. Jean loved to craft and was a master baker. She was deeply passionate and devoted to those she cared for whether 2 legged or 4 legged.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindy and her husband Dale Slobaszewski who was like a son to Jean; brother, Larry (Barbara) Call; sister, Jeanette Bradford; brothers-in-law, Ernest (Alice) Ulery, Dale (Virginia) Ulery and Floyd Adair; sisters-in-law, Myrna Ulery, Shirley Ulery, Sally Call and Jo Ann Kelley; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald; stillborn son, David; brothers, Ted Call and Tommy Call; sister, Barbara Adair; brother-in-law, Fred Ulery and his wife, Carol Brazner, Norman Ulery and Byron Ulery.

Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th St. SW, Altoona. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Altoona Cemetery.
