Brent Douglas Horner

Brent Douglas Horner, age 61, passed away Monday, May 13, 2019.

Brent was born April 13, 1958 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dennis and Mary Lou (Graves) Horner. He was a member of USW Local 310. Brent was an avid rifle enthusiast and an active member of the NRA and hunting club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing. He was a true sportsman.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; children, Joseph Horner and Candi Horner; grandchildren, Maci, Codi and Conor; parents, Dennis and Mary Lou Horner; sisters, Michele (JR) Hunsberger, Lynne (Chuck) Larsen and Kristin (Greg) Fontanini; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Brent was preceded in death by his in-laws, Amada Emma and Raymond Lee Bennett, and his grandparents, Dorothy and Maurice Horner and Ellis and Anna Graves.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Cremation will follow.

In remembrance of Brent, memorials may be made directly to the family.
