Brian was my student and my TA at SHS. He was kind, solicitous, and interested in all manner of people. His favorite reading genre was science fiction, and we had many conversations about this genre. The world was one of wonder for him, and he shared that wonder with all of us. My sincere sympathy goes to all who knew him.

My sympathy to his family & chosen family of friends on your loss. I met Brian several times when he came to some Sacred Bridges CUUPs celebrations. One memorable time we sat on an outside bench and talked, sharing ups and downs and coming outs. . Brian cared so much and what a free flowing sense of humor.
You are on the next step of the journey, sweet soul.

We were very saddened by Brian passing. He was an upbeat, dry wit, who was a pleasure to talk with. God gained an angel. We hope your pain of his passing on Earth, becomes your peace.

I met Brian on Monday, July 8th while he was waiting for his Uber ride home from the doctor. He was a very personable and friendly and gave me a quick walk through his life. Many of my Church Members lived in the building with Brian and that is how I found out he passed away.
May your memories of him bring you peace, joy and smiles.
I know just meeting him once and watching how he faced his health challenges, yet continued on with life will remind me that nothing is too much if your attitude toward others reflects genuine friendliness.

I first met Brian when he was my neighbor in Sitka. He was quirky and so very funny. He made me laugh every time I spoke with him. Such a great sense of humor. If I had a bad day, Brian would be there on the bus to make me laugh.
I cant imagine what the Kokke family is going through losing someone as kind hearted and caring as Brian. My thoughts are with you all during this difficult time. Please know he was so dearly loved by anyone who got the chance to know him and he will be oh so dearly missed.
