Brenda Ruby

Brenda Ruby, 53, passed away at her home on July 17, 2019. She was born November 12, 1965 in Des Moines to Larry Sr. and Joyce (Harter) Ruby. Brenda enjoyed art and drawing. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Brenda could always make people smile. She was witty and had a childlike sense of humor. Brenda enjoyed the simple things in life and was always there to help others in any way that she could.

Brenda is survived by her daughter, Danyelle (Mat) Ruby-Woods; son, William (Amy) Cox; mother, Joyce Harter; siblings, Larry Ruby, Jr. and Cherie Kempf; grandchildren, Joey, Harper, Dakoda, Chelsea, Cleo and Taylor; and a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Ruby, Sr.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. A private family burial will be held at Berwick Cemetery.
