Raul Cortez Duran

Raul Duran, 63, passed away on July 18, 2019 after a brave battle with liver failure.

He spent his life working and providing for his family and he had a tendency to “adopt” anyone needing guidance or love. Raul will be remembered for his work ethic, dedication to family, and devotion to his faith.

Raul is survived by his wife, Mary Duran; daughter, Crystal (Jerome) Burrell; daughter-in-law, Tiffany (Paul) Mercer; grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis, Alicia, Allena, Rourick, Adriana, and Aubriella; and a great-grandchild that he didn’t have time to meet. Amongst survivors are those he considered his adopted family, the Jensens and many more. His legacy will remain alive from the memories of those blessed to know him.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
