Andrew Blaskovich

Andrew Blaskovich, 95, passed away November 26, 2009, at Bishop Drumm Care Center in Johnston.

Andrew was born November 9, 1914, to Jack and Opal Blaskovich in Zook Spur, Iowa. He was a native of the Des Moines area. Andrew served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He worked as a postal carrier for many years.

Andrew is survived by his sisters, Mary Doyle of McLean, VA, and Violet McDermott of San Louis Obispo, CA; his brother, William Blaskovich of Plano, TX; and 28 nieces, nephews, and their families.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Blaskovich; second wife, Matilda Blaskovich; and his third wife, Mary Ann Bordinaro-Blaskovich; his brothers, Ed, Fred, and Gene; and his sister, Emma Goldie.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Our Lady of Peace Chapel at Bishop Drumm Care Center, followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the chapel.
