Death Certificate and Materials Courier - Filled

  • The primary goal of the Death Certificate Courier is to establish a personal relationship and feeling of continuity with physicians, hospice personnel and the Polk County Recorders Office.
  • The position has a pre-determined repeating schedule from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Pay is based on skills, ability, and performance.

Key Activities

  1. Deliver and pick up death certificates in a timely manner.
  2. File death certificates at county recorder in a timely manner.
  3. Interact respectfully and consistently.
  4. Take responsibility - assigned and unassigned.
  5. Phone communications with physicians.
  6. Maintain daily delivery schedule. Within scheduled work period.
  7. Some phone and reception activities.
  8. Complete required reporting.
  9. Help with Hamilton's Academy of Grief & Loss activities.
