The Sprite is an indoor solar chime designed to create gentle, intermittent tones using light instead of wind. Display it on a table, shelf or windowsill and enjoy its pleasant sounds throughout your home.
Unlike a traditional wind chime, the Sprite does not require a breeze. A light-sensitive solar cell located on the cone-shaped top captures natural sunlight or artificial lamp light. The captured light energy powers the movement of the center striker. As the striker moves, it gently taps the three tuned aluminum rods, producing pleasant chime sounds—without batteries or electricity.
The brighter the light, the more frequently the chime may sound. Move the Sprite closer to or farther from a window or lamp to find the chiming frequency you enjoy.
