John Irvin

John “Bud” C. Irvin, 79, passed away Friday, October 26, 2012. He was born December 21, 1932 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Bud was a gold club member at Prairie Meadows. He enjoyed hunting, wood carving, slot machine at Prairie Meadows and his Monday poker night with friends and family. Bud enjoyed golfing with long time friends, telling jokes, watching TV in his comfy chair, and play and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He retired from DSM Steel.

Bud is survived by his wife Judith Irvin, his children Steve (Vicki) Irvin of Waukee, Mark (Cindy) Irvin of Waukee, Kevin Irvin of Minburn, Tina Irvin of Waukee, Marcelo (Trisha) Irvin of Des Moines, Patricia Garcia of Des Moines, Jodie (Luis) Ramirez of Des Moines, and Carlos Irvin of Des Moines; his foster children Nha, Nhan, and Dai; his grandchildren Craig (Joelle) Irvin, TJ Irvin, Travis Irvin, Amber (Edwin) Harris, Chris Irvin, Lance Irvin, Shevin Irvin, Kheila Irvin, Wesley Ramirez, Octavio Ramirez, Aliya Ramirez, Trystan Irvin, Jayden Irvin, Allyson Irvin, Keylen Irvin, Kismet Irvin, Ceonte Garcia, Bertha Garcia;his great-grandchildren Elijah Irvin, Code Harris, Deven Harris, Breeya Harris, Laura-Rae Hopson;
His siblings Raymond Irvin, Harriet Lou Buckley, Bill Buckley, Dorothy, David Irvin and Sarah.
He was preceded in death by his brother Charles Irvin, Jr, His father Charles Irvin, His mother Edna Mae Buckley and his granddaughter Catherine Maria Ramirez.

Memorial services will be held at Des Moines Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2317 Watrous Ave, at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2012, with a visitation preceding at 9:30 – 11:00 at the church.
