John Nicolino

John Nicolino, 92, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at HCI Care Services 56th.

John was born October 27, 1921 in Des Moines to Joseph and Rosina Nicolino. He served in the United States Army during WWII. John sold insurance for many years. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service.

John is survived by his children, Joseph (Shirley) Nicolino, Rosina (Alan) Jones, John P. (Janet) Nicolino, Mary Anne (Raymond) Waddell, Vincent (Carrie) Nicolino and Catherine (Dirk) Newton; grandchildren, Emily Newton, Bailee Newton, Meisha Nicolino, Nicole Nicolino Fike, Raychel Waddell, Ashlee Waddell, Kristina Nicolino, Traci Nicolino Koesis, Randi Lynn Reints, Jason Nicolino, James Hanlon, Timothy Hanlon, Chad Nicolino, Phillip Nicolino, Nathan Nicolino, Daniel Hanlon, Stephen Hanlon, Evan Waddell, Brandon Newton, Matthew Halverson, Ryan Halverson, Cody Reints; and great-grandchildren, Madyson Nicolino, Brooklyn Nicolino, Cecilia Fucaloro, Olivia Fucaloro, Arabella Halverson, Wyatt Halverson, Karlie Nicolino, Brendan Hanlon, Brody Hanlon, Kelsey Hanlon, Josiah Hanlon, Evie Hanlon, Asa Hanlon, Kolby Nicolino, Sophie Nicolino, Alexis Nicolino, Alyssa Nicolino, Ayla Nicolino, Jaylynn Reints, Addy Reints, Sam Nicolino, Owen Nicolino, Julian Nicolino, Remy Nicolino and Caleb Nicolino.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street with the Rosary recited 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Avenue followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
