Mildred L. Webb

Mildred Lucille Webb was born October 6, 1930, in Bondurant, Iowa to Clarence and Dorothy Renaud. She attended Bondurant School where she graduated in 1949. During her high school years, she dated Robert Webb before his graduation in 1948. After graduation, Robert entered the United Air Force in September 1948. On leave, the couple started a cross-country trek back to New York where Robert was serving at Samson AFB and was united in marriage on October 26, 1949, in Paducah, Kentucky.

Four children were born to them: Pamela in 1952, Robert in 1954, James in 1955, and Michael in 1959. Due to Robert’s career in managing Coop Elevators, they moved to Everly, Iowa in 1968. They lived in Everly for many years until all the children were graduated. In the years to follow Mildred quickly learned the art of packing boxes as more moves were in her future.

Mildred lived for her family and friends. She passed peacefully to her Lord on April 1, 2022. Left to cherish her memories include her children, Pamela (Irvin) Johnson, Robert (Vicki) Webb, James Webb & Michael Webb; grandchildren, Seth (Jennifer) Johnson, Lindsey Webb, and Cole Webb; great-grandchildren, Chloe (Clayton) Talbert, Emma Harle, Nolan Johnson, and Brody Johnson; great-great-granddaughter, Lillian Rose; and many other family members and friends.

Mildred was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Robert Lee Webb, in 2006.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, IA 50009.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Mildred.
