Violet Williams

Violet Jewel Williams peacefully passed September 12, 2022 in her sleep. She was born July 16, 2022 at 31 weeks and 6 days at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, IA, to her parents Courtney Williams and Tai Gillam. Violet spent a month in the Nicu and came home on August 20, 2022. 

Violet was a light in so many peoples lives during her short time here on earth. She was a spunky, sassy, and sweet baby girl. She loved to make little squeaks and grunts. She was a light to anyone who got the chance to meet her. Her favorite thing was to be cuddled.

Violet is survived by her parents; Courtney Williams and Tai Gillam, her grandmothers; Heather Isaac and Larrisha Petersen; uncles, Adam Garrington and Matthew Garrington; Aunt, My'ona; great uncles, Jeremy (Annie) Isaac, Calon Petersen, and Kurt Williams; great grandma, Marcia Isaac; as well as friends and family.

She was proceeded in death by her grandpa, Keith Williams, and great grandpa, Gayle Isaac

Services will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. The funeral services will be the following day Friday, September 23, 2022 at 1:00 pm. Her resting place will be Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, IA
