Julie Lynn Weis

Julie Lynn Weis, 50, of Des Moines, passed away at home Monday, April 26, 2010. Services will be held 1 p.m. on Friday April 30, 2010 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral on SW 9th in Des Moines, Iowa. Burial will be immediately following service at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be one hour prior to service Friday.

Julie was born on October 19, 1959 to Oland and Cleta Sanders. She was a member of the Wildlife Federation. She also enjoyed gardening and was a member of a garden club. She loved spending time with her grand children. She was known for her infamous chicken and dumplings and love for animals.

Julie is survived by her sister, Deb (Ben Sr.) Hail of Des Moines; children Ron (Tasha) Weis of Des Moines, David (Brandy) Weis of Des Moines, Cody Sanders, and step-daughter Tammy Weis; grandchildren, Tiffany, David Jr., Dystyne, Alexis, Torri, John, Ozzy, Jadea, Jordan, David, Tanner, Avery Rose, Ashley, and Becca; nieces, Monse, Rabecca, Beverly, and Dianna; and nephews, Benny Jr. and Corey.

Julie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 28 years, Ronald Weis; and her parents, two sisters and one brother.
