Charles “Chucky” Freeborn, 28, passed away August 4, 2011, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was born May 15, 1983, in Des Moines.
Chucky is survived by his parents, Homer and Barb Freeborn; siblings, Corey Burnsworth, Christina Freeborn and Cody Freeborn; children, Odeyseamae and Brendon; grandparents, George and Vi Burnsworth; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Virginia Freeborn; aunt, Debbie Caldwell; and his cousin, Sheila Archer.
A memorial picnic in Chucky’s honor will begin at 12 p.m., Sunday, August 14, 2011, at Easter Lake, Shelter #2.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Chucky.

Dear Chucky,
i haven't seen you in over 10 years i finally get back in touch with the family and before i even get to see you again your gone, i can't describe how bad it hurts to know your the one who is gone i got to see almost everyone in the family but you, but guess what there is one thing that noone will ever take and that's the memory of you and the feeling your always beside me when we need you. i'm sorry i ddin't come see you sooner i miss you so much i love you. love, lacey marie

It's been a long time Barb n Homer :( jus want u to know we still care n can't believe this kind of thing would ever happen! God works n mysterious ways n the bad guy will have his day comin to him! I'm at a loss 4 words on this?!? I jus can't imagine how u both must feel it's something a parent should never have to live thru :( be proud, stay strong, carry on, n luv one another like never before! I only knew the lil fart as a we one but from what I'm reading everyday online he was a HUGE HEARTED MAN ( jus like his parents) :)) Deep down Chris n I owe u both for what we have now n life EACH OTHER :) wish circumstances dint tear us apart... Dear Freeborn family,
I met your son a number of months ago and enjoyed being in his company on many occassions.
This is very difficult news for a mom, dad and family to hear.

Barb and Homer and family, my thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you. I cannot express how deeply sorry that this happened and that you have to go through the deep loss of losing Chuck. May God be with you during this time and keep you safe in his arms. Chuck will always be in your memories...no one can take that from you.

CHUCKDOGG.!! I have known you for years when we were bad ass kids running around at the river, you will truly be missed in so many ways. Gonna miss your laugh and smile and funny ass jokes.. i pray for your family everyday.. RIP til we meet again.. love you buddy..!

I am so sorry about your Lost of poor Chucky's short life. Chucky did not diserve to have his life taken. Chucky touched thousands of lifes. May he get JUSTICE, and may the monster that took his short life, suffer the way he did, the way his family/friends have suffered...
