Rosemarie Theresa Dixon, 67, died Monday, September 12, 2011, at Taylor House Hospice. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, September 15, at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, with burial following at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery north of Toledo at 12:30 p.m. A visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday.
Rosemarie grew up on the south side of Des Moines and attended Lincoln High School, graduating in 1962. On October 18, 1962 she married Glenn Dixon at the Pleasant Hill Church in Toledo. She worked at Younkers Warehouse, Bidwell Riverside Center and CDS. Rosemarie was a member of the Southtown Pentecostal Assembly, Moose Lodge and served as Senior Regent Star Recorder.
She is survived by her mother-in-law, Vivian Dixon; sisters-in-law, Lori (Charles) Johnson, Alice Chizek; nephews, Dave (Lisa) Chizek, Dwayne Johnson; nieces, Julie Green, Nicole Johnson; numerous great nieces and nephews and many other special cousins. Rosemarie was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn in 1998; her parents, Frank and Gertrude (Peniro) Piccolo and her niece, Becky Chizek.
Memorial contributions may be made to Southtown Pentecostal Assembly in Des Moines, and Christ United Methodist Church in Toledo.

Rose was a dear friend, we met in 9th grade at Weeks Jr. Hi. in 1958. I am so glad that I went to visit her when I was in DM in August. Love you Rose...God Bless ....Sandy
