You don't know me, but I am Jim Langholfs niece. I did not know the names of the other people involved in the terrible accident over a year ago, until just recently. I just wanted you all to know that we think of your family often and pray for you all. The grief that we all share is still strong, but the memories and faith keep him alive. Never lose faith and I pray that you are all doing well.

We are so sorry for your loss. We know your pain as the Dakota man "Jim" was our cousin and we are missing him so much. May God give you peace and strength in the difficult time ahead.

You do not know me and probably wont even understand this message. On Thursday September 1,2011, we lost our 29 year old boy Cody. He grew up in Grinnell, Ia and graduated from ISU. He later moved to Spearfish, South Dakota to be near our family. He was killed very similar to Jesse, tragically and with out notice. We were just back in Grinnell this past weekend for a "celebration of life" and drove from Grinnell to Brooklyn and past the very spot on Monday night at 7pm. Little did we know or could even think of another family would be soon going thru this same situation. Cody's parents live in Grinnell and we are his South Dakota parents. If any of you want to contact me please feel free. I know this is risky, but my email is chriscampground@spe.midco.net.
I am not handling this very well and if you need someone to talk to that is just a few days ahead of you in this grief, I would love to talk. I have always believed I am a christian and would be better at this understanding, but I could use some encouragement and I am leaning on my faith, so maybe we could help each other. If not, God Bless you all.

Melissa,
I don't know if you remember me or not; we worked together at Tender Years. I remember you and Jesse as kids at church too when you would come with the Cole's. Talking to the Cole's today we know you are having a hard time with this great loss. Please know I am praying for you and Jesse's wife and those precious little girls.
God Bless You,

I watched with disbelief as this tragic accident unfolded. Then, after 3 days, I was informed that it actually involved my extended family. I am so sorry. There are no words that can ever make this situation better. But if we can somehow make it safer for the people who do these dangerous jobs then maybe we can make peace.

Dear Inman Family,
You don't know me but I am your neighbor across the street. I always enjoyed watching your little ones and dogs play in the yard and always thought to myself, "what a nice little family they have". If you need anything at all or even just need someone to sit with you, you can always count on me, I'm in apt. 5 across the street.
God always does things for a reason even if we don't understand why, but I feel he is always there to hold us and give us strength as well.
May God hold you close and help you get thru, and may all your memories keep you close to your loved one.
You are in my prayers today and always.
Sincerely,
Patty Walker
