Bouali Prasasouk

Bouali Prasasouk, 73, died Friday, September 16, 2011 at home surrounded by his family.  He was born in Laos on October 10, 1937 to Phouk and Souphy Prasasouk and was an art professor at the Dongdok University in Vientiane, Laos. He later moved to the United States.
Bouali is survived by his wife Toun; sons Phixay (Tianesey), Sith (Tell), and Toui (Nousaly); daughters Vicky (Von) Phongsa, Sue Prasasouk, Sou (Khamlei) Somsavath, Bouasanit Prasasouk, and Palina Prasasouk; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and 8 brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings.
Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2011 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 161 NW 60th Street, in Des Moines.

I was surprised to receive such a bad news of an old friend who just passed away. I and my children would like to express our sympathy to his family. He and his family are good and generous people and we owe them gratitude for helping us in the past.

My uncle was and still is a great man. He is loved by many, and many will miss him. I am greatful to have known such a wonderful unlce. He will always be in my heart. I love you very much uncle, and I thank you for all the conversations we had, and how you were there for me, checking in on me when my husband was deployed. We will miss you dearly!!!
