Gene & family:
I am so sorry I didn't see Susie's obituary in time to get to her funeral today. I will never forget her and the time your family were my neighbors. Susie was someone I wanted to be like. She was a hard worker, loved her horse (can't remember for sure if there was more than one) and always had a smile on her face. I was always happy to see her and, in later years, to know she was happy and had a good life with Joe. One of my fondest memories is of my Dad (who was not a cook) making chili when my Mom was in the hospital. It was really good! Later on, I learned that he had called Susie to come up as he didn't know how to brown the hamburger! :) All of you were such good neighbors!
Take care and know that you are in our thoughts a prayers.

Dear Jim, I want to tell you that you and your family are in my prayers. While i was filling in at Ramsey Village as the chaplain, I had many opportunities to visit with your mom. I know it was hard for me to see her struggling physically as she did, but I want to remember her running around HPCC in the kitchen and working hard serving God. I remember her energy and her love for her family. I am thankful that she is at home with the Lord now and I believe she is healed.
May God bless you as you celebrate Susie's life and faith on Friday

Jim and Judi, I remember all the Thanksgiving spent with your Mom and Dad. Those are some of my best memories growing up. Jim, I want you to know how much Bud and Susie meant to us. Just last weekend I was going thru some old pictures from the Brown side. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
