Joshua attended Bondurant-Farrar Middle School, where he was on the Honor Roll and involved in football and wrestling for many years with the Blue Jays and community teams. Josh also loved singing in chorus, playing his guitar and drawing, which he did everywhere. Joshua was involved with 4-H showing livestock. He was very involved in church and participated in many community service projects in Bondurant. Everyone that met Josh will tell you how he always had a smile on his face with his long eyelashes and baby blue eyes, always cheering everyone up and encouraging friends and family to be their best. He will be dearly missed by all.
Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2011, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Bondurant Federated Church. Funeral services will be Tuesday November 29 at 11 a.m. followed by a luncheon. During that time the family will be attending a private burial at Pine Hill Cemetery and returning back to the luncheon.
Contributions can be made at any of the Legacy Banks to the
"Joshua Engle Memorial Fund."
The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and kind words.

I was student teaching in Bondurant when Josh was in 3rd grade. That was four years ago and still vividly remember my interactions with him. He was a person who could leave an imprint on your heart, as he did mine, and many others.

My grandson Kevin Bruxvoort was a friend of Josh. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family in this terrible time. Nothing can be said to take away the pain that seems to last forever, but just know that you can lean on friends and family for support. My condolences and Kevins too. He was a good friend to Josh. I came to school to talk to the class about my past job as a correctional officer. Josh was the one that was full of questions for me. He kept me on my feet. What a sweet little boy.

My daughter went to school with Josh and she had so many good things to say about him when she came home yesterday and shared the sad news. She said he was just one of those people that brought up the whole mood of the room when he came in. He was a very loved young man and my heart and prayers go out to all who are feeling this loss.
